Director Leonardo Gabuzzini was born June 16th, 1959 in Prato.

He started studying music at the age of six, at "G. Verdi" Music School in Prato with Director Giulio Gabbiani. He started studying trumpet at the age of 9 wit Aldemaro Dugini, and then he continued studying until he got a degree in trumpet at "Conservatorio L. Cherubini" in Florence.

He also attended some choral conduction courses and some orchestral conduction courses, specializing in band conduction. In 1992 he became "Concerto Cittadino E. Chiti"'s second Director. From 2003 he's member of the City Commitee for Musical Activities. here in Prato. Also in 2003 he's founded the city Municipal Band "Cesare Ciardi". Since June 2003 he is first Director of "Concerto Cittadino "E. Chiti"

Since June 2004 he officially took the direction of the Joyful Voices Gospel Choir. Although this is Leonardo's first experience with a choir with +30 elements, his great communication skills, and his vast musical experience and creativity made it so that director and choir found the perfect way to communicate and work together.
